Herb dip or green sauce (zaļā mērce) may not be a very traditional or common Latvian recipe, however, it is made from truly Latvian ingredients – cottage cheese, sour cream and herbs found in every garden. It can be eaten as a dip for your favourite veggies or chips, and it is perfect with fried or boiled potatoes.
The dip is best made day ahead so all the flavours get to mix and intensify.
